Whether it’s with record-breaking auction sales, howling vintage racers, or simply seeing prancing-horse badges at seemingly every turn, Ferrari attracts a great deal of attention during Monterey Car Week, which culminates in the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Élégance. This week, there will be even more love for Enzo’s company, as Ferrari will be the featured marque at the 65th annual concours on the 18th fairway. To further reinforce Ferrari’s presence on the peninsula, the brand has fully taken over a small country store and gas station to display some of its most legendary cars, as well as its full lineup of new vehicles, at what it is calling Casa Ferrari Carmel.
-The headliner from among the five cars that will each take star turns at Casa Ferrari surely is the 250LM that Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt drove to an overall victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1965 [shown below]. Le Mans scholars will note that this is the last time Ferrari won the top class; it was the next year that Ford and its GT40 went on a four-in-a-row winning streak.
-
-The other featured cars are only slightly less mind-boggling: a 1954 500 Mondial Spyder formerly owned by epic playboy and rumored assassin Porfirio Rubirosa, one of only four 1954 250 Monzas, a 1955 410 Sport that won its class at Pebble Beach in 2012, and the 275GTB Competizione that finished third overall at Le Mans in ’65. All of these cars have been certified by Ferrari Classiche.

The Ferrari fantasyland is open to the public from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. from today Wednesday through Sunday. The car-display schedule for the Piazza is:
-• Wednesday — 500 Mondial Spyder
-• Thursday — 250 Monza
-• Friday — 250LM
-• Saturday — 275GTB Competizione
-• Sunday — 410 Sport (shown below)
-Admission is free, and, naturally, there will be plenty of sub-million-dollar Ferrari swag available for purchase, as well as espresso, gelato, and champagne. A full-service retro Shell station has also been created on-site. Casa Ferrari is located at what’s usually known as the Carmel Highlands General Store. It’s less than 10 miles south of the Monterey Peninsula and immediately south of Point Lobos on Highway 1 in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
