After six months of residency in Cars.com's long-term fleet, our 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic has endured 8,000 miles and many ownership quirks. It's still a staff favorite, however, for the reasons we picked it as our Best Of 2015 winner: ride quality, gutsy engine, roominess and technology offerings.

Our Mercedes has, however, spent a decent amount of time at the dealership, first for the intermittent seat discoloration that prompted replacing the car's upholstery and then for the Keyless-Go key fob with proximity entry and push-button-start. It went kaput at 6,700 miles — 150 miles away from home — leaving us to use the manual key that's built into the fob for locking the doors and starting the car.
Most recently, the middle rear seat belt locked into place with the seat folded, trapping one side of the folding rear seat in the down position so there was only room for one passenger in the backseat. We also noticed areas of the rear-quarter window glass starting to flake. Stay tuned for upcoming articles on those issues.
