As the McLaren Senna proves, looks aren’t everything. Sure, the track-focused supercar could pass as something Michael Bay dreamed up for the next Transformers movie, but it’s also supposed to be even quicker than the P1 on a racetrack. That said, we’ll never complain when a car looks good. Especially when it’s as gorgeous as the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
The initial concept certainly looked cool, but there was no telling how radical the production version would be. Sketches of the track-only Valkyrie AMR Pro gave us a better idea of what the final car would look like, but those were only hints. Now that Aston has released official images, we can confirm the Valkyrie looks absolutely fantastic.
The profile shot does a wonderful job of showing off the Valkyrie’s shape and highlighting its curves, but the top-down shot might be our favorite. From that angle, you can see just how extreme the car’s shape is, with the wheels pushed out to the corners and the greenhouse tapering off to the rear. Inside, the Valkyrie’s Formula 1 inspiration is front and center. It’s a simple cabin that barely offers more than two seats, a few screens, and a steering wheel. Sorry, passenger.
So far, we only have these three shots, but you should keep an eye on Aston Martin’s Instagram page in case it chooses to release more. We also hope we don’t have to wait too much longer to find out what the Valkyrie is like to drive. Now that we know what it looks like, the thought of taking one for a spin has us way too excited.
