The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is adding a sixth trim level a year after the model was first introduced to the market. Slotting in the middle of the Pacifica lineup, the Touring Plus starts at $33,455.
The Touring Plus bridges a small gap that once existed between the Touring and Touring L models. Over the Touring, the new trim level comes with extra goodies such as three-zone automatic climate control, a universal garage door opener, and an upgraded front fascia with silver garnish. Other features on the Touring Plus include a power liftgate, second- and third-row sunshades, and LED tail lamps. Customers who opt for 18-inch wheels and a 8.4-inch touchscreen receive a $995 overhead DVD player for free.
All Touring Plus models come paired to a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine making 287 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. The power is routed through a nine-speed automatic transmission. In our tests, a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring hit 60 mph in 6.7 seconds.
Starting prices on the Pacifica range from $30,090 for the base model to upwards of $43,990 for the Limited. The Pacifica Hybrid, available in two trim levels, can be even more expensive.
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring Plus is now available at dealerships alongside the rest of the minivan lineup.
