Land Rover is celebrating the success of the Range Rover Evoque with a Landmark Special Edition. Since 2011, over 600,000 Evoques have been built at Land Rover’s Halewood plant in the U.K.
The special-edition model will make its global debut at the Royal Windsor Horse Show on May 10. It is priced at about $50,431 at current exchange rates.
“What makes Evoque so special is its relevance. The design remains modern and fresh. The Evoque is widely acknowledged to have brought a whole new youthful generation of buyers into the Range Rover brand, including more women,” said Gerry McGovern, Land Rover chief design officer in a statement. “Its success was clear from the start and gave us the confidence to break new ground, which you can see with vehicles like the Evoque Convertible. This Landmark Special Edition is a celebration of six years of success so far.”
Evoque Landmark receives a special Moraine Blue paint job that is inspired by the turquoise lakes of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It is also available in Yulong White and Corris Gray.
Upgrades over the standard model include a dynamic body kit, a Carpathian Gray panoramic roof, Graphite Atlas grille, fender vent, and tailgate lettering. The exclusive variant rolls on 19-inch gloss dark gray alloy wheels.
Inside, the Evoque Landmark sports Ebony leather seats with contrasting Light Lunar stitching and a dark gray-brushed satin center console. Technical goodies include an optional 10-inch InControl Touch Pro system and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.
Range Rover says an Evoque rolls off the Halewood production line every 170 seconds and it sold nearly 18,000 models in March. It is also built in China and Brazil.
Price for a base model Evoque starts at $41,895.
