Aston Martin Says Goodbye to Vanquish S With Ultimate Edition

Aston Martin is ending production on the current Vanquish S, but not before introducing a special edition version. The Vanquish S Ultimate, limited to 175 cars, features unique design details throughout the exterior and interior.

The automaker is offering the Ultimate Edition in both coupe and convertible form. Either way, as with any proper special edition, the model receives unique badging. Look for “Ultimate” badges on the carbon fiber side strakes, seat headrests, and door sills. Along with plenty of carbon fiber inside and out, the interior features unique quilted seats.

Customers can choose between three schemes for the exterior and interior. The first is a black-painted Vanquish S inspired by the Ultimate Edition of the first-generation Vanquish S. It receives Copper Bronze accents and black exhaust tailpipes, brake calipers, and wheels, in addition to carbon fiber on the front grille, side strakes, and hood vents. Inside, the model dons black leather with Chestnut Tan stitching.

The second theme combines a gray paint with blue graphics, yellow brake calipers, and black wheels. Inside, there are grey leather seats with blue stitching as well as Electron Yellow accents. For the third theme, Aston Martin painted the Vanquish S in White Gold with bronze accents, set against a Chestnut Tan leather interior with black accents. Buyers aren’t relegated to these three options. Aston Martin will allow customers to mix and match any exterior scheme and interior package for no extra cost.

There is no powertrain upgrade for the Ultimate Edition. It receives the same 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V-12 engine as the standard model, producing 595 hp. The engine comes paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Aston Martin will produce 175 copies, and unfortunately, none are coming to the U.S. In the U.K., prices for the coupe start at £211,995, and in Germany, the model costs €278,995. Volante convertible models run from £223,995 in the U.K. and €293,995 in Germany.

Although the model is not available here, Aston Martin didn’t leave out the U.S. as it celebrates the end of the current Vanquish. It’s offering a special-edition Vanquish S designed by football star Tom Brady, and only 12 copies will be made.
