A tiger never changes his stripes, but a Hellcat does. Three new stripe colors will be available for the 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat: red, blue, and silver.
These colors add to the existing “Dual Gunmetal Gray” and “Dual Carbon” stripe options. All stripe packages cost $995, and they’re now available for dealer order. For further customization, the model will offer 13 primary body colors.
Like last year, the 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat has a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 that makes 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. As we learned from our long-term 2016 Charger Hellcat, the engine is good for hitting 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. The engine pairs to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
As we previously reported, the Charger Hellcat receives a new performance grille with dual inlets. Launch assist is also new for 2019. This feature uses sensors to monitor wheel hop at launch, and modifies engine torque to regain full grip quickly. A new line lock feature promises perfect burnouts. Taking a page from the Challenger SRT Demon, this model also gets an After-Run Chiller and Torque Reserve. Other updates on the SRT Hellcat include a Satin Black painted hood option, new instrument panel badging, an Alcantara interior package, and available Brass Monkey 20-inch forged wheels.
