2020 Kia Telluride Priced From $32,735

The 2020 Kia Telluride is inching closer to its spring market debut. While we wait, the automaker has released pricing information for the large SUV.

The Telluride LX starts at $32,735, including destination. At that base price, it’s competitive with rivals. This price is slightly higher than segment stalwarts including the 2019 Honda Pilot ($32,495) and Toyota Highlander ($32,425). But it’s less pricey than the base 2019 Subaru Ascent ($32,970).

The Telluride has a healthy amount of standard features, including an 8.0-inch touchscreen, six USB ports, smart key with push-button start, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Standard safety goodies include forward collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, blind-spot collision avoidance assist with rear-cross traffic collision avoidance assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality.

Step up to the S model, and you’ll receive upgraded 20-inch wheels instead of 18-inchers, roof rails, a front power sunroof, heated front seats, and upgraded exterior trim. The model loses one of the eight seats since it has captain chairs in the second row instead of the standard bench. This trim starts at $35,035.

EX models, priced from $38,135, receive leather seat trim, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, second row window shades, and a power liftgate. This trim switches back to second row bench seating, and it gets special 18-inch alloy machined finish wheels.

At the top of the lineup sits the SX, which starts at $42,535. These models get 20-inch black wheels, LED projector beam headlights, LED fog lights, dual sunroofs, interior mood lighting, surround view monitor, captain’s chairs, and other updates. For an extra $4,000, the SX Prestige Option will get you Nappa leather seats, a head-up display, second row heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and all-wheel drive.

The 2020 Kia Telluride is equipped with a 3.8-liter V-6 engine making 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Kia says the Telluride will come out in the spring with limited availability. Then in the summer, Hyundai will bring out its own three-row competitor in the form of the Palisade, which hasn’t yet been priced.
