You can Buy the Last Dodge Viper and Demon as a Matching Set

The 2013 Dodge Viper was never quite the sales success that Fiat Chrysler had hoped for, but especially in ACR form, it was an excellent driver’s car. The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon won’t turn as well as the Viper, but on a drag strip, it’s about as quick as stock production cars get. Together, they’d make one heck of a two-car garage. This summer, Mopar fans will have one final opportunity to make that a reality when the last new Viper gets auctioned off alongside the last new Demon.

Dodge announced today that it plans to offer the cars as a matching pair at this June’s Barrett-Jackson auction. They’ll both be painted the same color red and will come with special badges, VIN documentation, and “one-of-a-kind memorabilia.” The proceeds will then be donated to the United Way.

“An avid collector could search a lifetime to try to put two vehicles of this pedigree together and never find it, it’s that elusive,” said Steve Beahm, FCA’s head of cars in North America, in a statement. “Pairing the last Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the Dodge Viper production cars – two of America’s most sought-after vehicles – under the roof of Barrett-Jackson gives someone the ‘last’ chance to own this unique piece of automotive history, and Dodge//SRT the opportunity to raise money for a cause close to our hearts.”

Neither Dodge nor Barrett-Jackson has said how much these cars are expected to go for, but don’t expect them to go cheap. Back in 2012, the first fifth-gen Viper sold for $300,000, and two years later, the first Challenger Hellcat went for $825,000. Considering these cars are each the final example, we wouldn’t be surprised to see them sell for quite a bit more.
