It’s never wise to “Pokemon Go” and drive, a lesson one gamer learned the hard way recently.
A man, who was playing the popular new game while driving a Toyota RAV4, plowed into the back of a parked police car one evening in Baltimore, Md. After the collision, the driver stopped and exited the vehicle. To his credit, he admitted fault, telling officers “That’s what I get for playing this dumb *** game.” The whole incident was captured on a police officer’s body camera, and fortunately, no one was injured.
Apparently, this wasn’t the first incident involving Pokemon Go in Baltimore this week. Several Pokemon Go players reported having their phones stolen while engrossed in the game, police say. In fact, police have reported seemingly countless incidents around the country.
If you have to play Pokemon Go while in the car, at least do it from the passenger seat. Recently, a gamer tried his luck at catching Pokemon on the Nürburgring while riding in a Ring Taxi.
