2020 Karma Revero Teases Redesigned Headlights

Karma Automotive is gearing up for three big debuts at the Shanghai auto show next month. After teasing its Pininfarina-styled concept and an all-electric concept, Karma previewed its third creation today: the next-generation Revero.

The teaser image shows off the new model’s sculpted hood and new headlight shape, but little else. According to the automaker, the 2020 Karma Revero will be “faster, smarter, and even more stunning in design than its predecessor.” It will be available for sale or lease in the second half of this year.

Karma posted another teaser image of the all-electric Vision concept. The scissor doors hint that this will be a true show car. The model also shows off its full-width taillights and low-slung silhouette.

The automaker also announced it’s investing nearly $7.5 million in new powertrain test labs at its headquarters in Irvine, California. Karma will use these labs to evaluate the performance of its electric motors, generators, and range-extended powertrains. The company is investing in a new traction dynamometer, electric motor dynamometer, and engine/generator test cell.

Karma Automotive is celebrating its fifth anniversary today. In 2014, Chinese automotive parts supplier Wanxiang Group purchase the remaining assets of Fisker Automotive and renamed it Karma Automotive. The Karma Revero builds off the ill-fated Fisker Karma.
