If you like the most recent Mustang RTR, chances are you’re going to love the new Ford F-150 RTR package, which seeks to spice up the already tough-looking truck with more off-road-ready equipment and plenty of style. The look and its mission are inspired by Vaughn Gitten Jr.’s personal F-150 Ultimate Fun-Haver and the RTR Muscle Truck concept from 2017. Ford Performance says the package is available for all F-150 trim levels except the Raptor; if you like it, budget an additional $12,750 over your chosen pickup’s price tag.
For all that cash, you get a mean-looking RTR grille with LED lighting, aggressive fender flares to provide protection while boulder-bashing or mudding, a front skid plate, and slick graphics all around. More important to how it drives are the Fox 2.0 coil-over dampers, Ford Performance cat-back exhaust, 20-inch RTR wheels in satin charcoal, and Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. Other touches include special fender badges, floor liners, black lug nuts, and, apparently, tire-pressure sensors. Inside gets a serialized plaque signed by Gitten Jr., and there’s also an optional RTR-branded leather interior to dress up the stock cabin.
