CARS.COM — Many factors, both measurable and subjective, influence the decision to buy one car over another. Among them are reliability, handling and safety; resources abound to help car shoppers decide. Financial news site 24/7 Wall St. has combined data from Consumer Reports and J.D. Power to determine the best and worst car brands.

Turns out, there's a lot of crossover, according to USA Today. The majority of Consumer Reports' top 10 brands for overall quality were also among the top 10 in J.D. Power's reliability ranking. Meanwhile the bottom five lowest-quality brands also were among the least dependable, according to the studies. Audi ranked at the top of 24/7 Wall St.'s combined list, while Fiat fell dead last.
