The problem: Affected vehicles may be hard to start when the engine coolant temperature is low (between 32 and 68 degrees). This is due to a software glitch.
Vehicles affected by this service bulletin:
- 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
- 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander
- Equipped with 3.0-liter V-6 engines
Corrective action: Dealers will update the engine control module software.
Warranty info: This service bulletine is being performed free of charge under the Mitsubishi new-vehicle or extended warranty, whichever applies.
What owners should do: Call your local dealer with your vehicle's identification number to determine if your vehicle is involved in this service bulletin.
