Alfa Romeo Giulia, Stelvio Quadrifoglio Get Racing-Inspired Liveries in Geneva

At the Geneva motor show, Alfa Romeo is showing new Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio limited editions with liveries that honor Alfa’s F1 partnership with Sauber; this year the tie-up rebranded officially as Alfa Romeo Racing. They’re also being used to remind people that the marque has a distinguished racing history that can be traced back to 1910. The current Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team’s car driven by Antonio Giovinazzi and former world champ Kimi Raikkonen will also be on display in the same colors.

Aside from sharing paint with the Formula 1 racer, the special editions get Sparco racing seats with red stitching, a Mopar transmission knob with carbon insert—yes, we just typed “Formula 1” and “Mopar” in the same sentence—special badging, and a leather and Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with carbon inserts. The Giulia sports a carbon-fiber roof and rolls on 19-inch wheels, while the Stelvio gets 20s. Finally, both have red brake calipers, carbon-ceramic brake discs, carbon mirror caps, and a sweet-sounding Akrapovic titanium exhaust.

Under the hood, both models have a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine with 505 hp. This engine mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Stelvio has standard all-wheel drive, while the Giulia sends its fusillade exclusively to the rear wheels. Don’t expect either of the Racing models to hit U.S. shores.

More Alfa Goodness

Alfa has other stuff to show off in Geneva, too, including a Stelvio Ti and a Giulia Veloce Ti in Misano Blue. The sporty SUV is packed with carbon bits, shows off gloss black window frames and tailpipes, and rolls on 20-inch wheels with yellow brake calipers. The sedan has side skirts with carbon inserts, a rear spoiler, and 19-inch five-spoke wheels with yellow brake calipers. The cabin is outfitted with a black leather-covered dash with Mopar carbon inserts and leather and Alcantara seats with black stitching. Both are powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-four that delivers 280 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

Next up is the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Super in Visconti Green paint with a tasty Chocolate leather interior. Arriving as part of a refresh and reshuffling of the Giulietta that’s been on sale for the better part of a decade, it features a satin-finish grille and headlight bezels, with chrome on the mirror caps, door handles, rear bumper garnish, window frames, and badge. The Super also gets a sunroof and 18-inch wheels with a “burnished diamond” finish. Under the hood, its 1.6-liter four-cylinder delivers 120 hp and works through a six-speed automatic.

Finally, the Giulietta Veloce packs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 170 hp, and it also has a six-speed automatic. It features sportier bumpers and five-spoke 18-inch wheels in gloss black with yellow Brembo calipers, as well as a glossy black finish on the door handles, mirror caps, grille, fog-lamp surrounds, and twin tailpipes. Alfa touts its tinted windows, too, the better to hide its Alcantara-swaddled and yellow-stitched interior.
