Last month, Audi announced that in honor of the V-10–powered R8’s 10th anniversary, it had created a limited edition R8 V10 Decennium. At the time, Audi revealed that it would only build 222 examples, so we knew production would be extremely limited. What we didn’t know was how much it would cost.
That changed today when Audi released official pricing for the 2020 R8 lineup. The base R8 with a V-10 tuned to make 562 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque will now cost $171,150 including destination. Stepping up to the 602-hp R8 V10 Performance brings the price to $197,150. And if you want the R8 V10 Decennium, it will cost you $216,245.
If you assumed that $19,095 premium would give you more power, though, we’re sorry to disappoint you. The R8 V10 Decennium still makes a V10 Performance-matching 602 hp. But you will be able to say you own one of the 50 Decenniums Audi decided to allocate for the U.S. It will also stand out next to other R8s thanks to its U.S.-specific metallic black paint, 20-inch bronze wheels, bronze intake manifold, glossy black aero kit and badges, and carbon fiber accents.
Inside, the R8 V10 Decennium gets a black-and-carbon-fiber treatment with copper contrast stitching and several Decennium badges. And in case you were worried no one would notice how special your Decennium is at night, Audi made sure the puddle lights project the Decennium logo and your car’s production number onto the ground.
The 2020 Audi R8 V10 Decennium should go on sale sometime this summer.
