2011-2013 Nissan Juke Timing Chain Issue

The problem: Over time, the timing chain may stretch to a point that it makes noise inside the timing chain case or cover. This may be due to the chain stretching so much it makes contact with and wears at the inside of the case.

Vehicles affected by service bulletin:

  • 2011 Nissan Juke
  • 2012 Nissan Juke
  • 2013 Nissan Juke

Corrective action: Dealers will replace the timing chain and directly related parts. In extreme cases in which engine replacement is necessary, the engine may be replaced only under qualifying conditions.

Warranty info: This service is being performed free of charge under Nissan’s new car or extended warranty, whichever applies.
