In celebration of National Dog Day (or International Dog Appreciation Day if you live outside the U.S.) on August 26, Land Rover has announced a line of pet accessories built especially for its vehicles. Land Rover has grouped these accessories into packs, which will be available this winter.
The Pet Load Space Protection pack includes a spill-resistant water bowl, a full-height luggage partition, and a quilted load space liner that protects the floor, rear seatbacks, and side walls from paw prints. Buyers who opt for the Pet Transportation pack get a foldable pet carrier, load space rubber mat, and the spill-resistant water bowl.
The Pet Car and Access Pack bundles together the quilted load space liner, luggage partition, and a ramp that helps dogs get into the load area. This ramp, which can support pooches up to 187 pounds, has a high grip tread pattern to prevent slippage. Also included in this package is a portable rinse system for washing off those paws after a day outdoors. It holds up to 1.7 gallons of water, which Land Rover says should be enough for a five-minute shower. It could also be enough rinsing time to save your interior from mud-slinging wet-dog shakes.
Land Rover is bringing the Pet Packs to every single model in its lineup in the U.S. That includes the Land Rover Discovery and Discovery Sport, in addition to the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar, and Range Rover Evoque. Buyers who don’t want to splurge for one of the three packs can purchase the accessories individually.
