The 2017 Honda CR-V goes on sale in December for a starting price of $24,945, up $200 from last year’s model.
The fifth-generation CR-V features a carryover 2.4-liter direct-injection inline-four cylinder as well as LED daytime running lights, an electric parking brake, cruise control, 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, and Active Noise Control. It also has a standard rearview camera, four-speaker audio system, Pandora compatibility, and Bluetooth HandsFreeLink. Adding all-wheel drive brings the price of the LX up by $1,300.
Prices for the CR-V EX begin at $27,595, or $600 more than the previous version. Step up to this trim, and you’ll receive standard Honda Sensing technology, which includes collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist. The trim also boasts heated front seats, 18-inch wheels, push-button start, Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control, and other upgrades. All trims from EX and above receive a 1.5-liter turbo-four from the Civic, boasting 190 hp in the crossover. All-wheel drive costs $1,300.
Next up is the EX-L, which now breaches the $30,000-mark with a starting price of $30,095, or $31,395 when paired with all-wheel drive. These models receive leather-trimmed seats and a leather trimmed steering wheel, as well as HD radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, and other technologies. Buyers can add navigation for $1,000.
At the top of the lineup sits the Touring model, which boasts unique wheels, LED headlamps, dual exhaust tailpipes, a new hands-free access power tailgate, and premium audio system with nine speakers. Prices for this model now start at $33,295, or $34,595 with all-wheel drive.
The CR-V has undergone a complete redesign for the new model year. It has a longer hood and wheelbase, and rides on the same compact global platform as the Civic. New fuel economy ratings put the CR-V ahead of key competitors including the gasoline-powered Toyota RAV-4, Nissan Rogue, and Ford Escape.
