2016 Chevrolet Trax Midnight Edition Gets Blacked Out

Chevrolet has been on a roll lately with limited-edition models and hasn’t forgotten about its subcompact crossover. The 2016 Chevrolet Trax Midnight Edition joins the likes of the Silverado, Colorado, and Impala for the blacked out treatment.

Available on the top-spec LTZ trim, the 2016 Chevrolet Trax Midnight Edition adds black wheels, bezels, beltline moldings, door handles, and rear license plate appliques to the exterior. Interior features include new gray seat accents and gray piping for the floor mats.

“The small SUV segment is the fastest growing in the industry and models such as the new Trax Midnight Edition provides customers an expressive option,” said Betsy Flegg, senior marketing manager, Chevrolet Crossovers, in a release.

Power for the 2016 Chevrolet Trax continues to come from a 1.4-liter turbocharged I-4 that makes 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic sends power to the front wheels or all four with the available all-wheel drive system. Front-drive models are EPA-rated 26/34 mpg, while all-wheel-drive models are EPA-rated 24/31 mpg.

Pricing for the 2016 Chevrolet Trax LTZ starts at $26,125 (including destination), while the Midnight Edition Package is priced at $500. The Trax Midnight Edition goes on sale in late February 2016.
