Certain Ferrari California T and Ferrari 488 GTB models have been recalled due to a fuel system that could leak. The Italian automaker issued a stop-sale on the 488 GTB models and says that none of the affected vehicles have reached customers.
The Problem: Ferrari is recalling certain California T and 488 GTB models for a low-pressure fuel line that is improperly connected to the fuel pump feed pipe, which could lead to a fuel leak increasing the risk of an engine compartment fire.
The Fix: Ferrari has already notified owners of the California T to bring the affected vehicles to the dealer to have the low-pressure fuel line assembly replaced. The 488 GTB models will be fixed before being sold. Owners may contact Ferrari customer service at 1-201-816-2600.
Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: A total of 304 vehicles, including 2016 Ferrari California T models manufactured from September 8, 2015 through November 11, 2015 and 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB models September 9, 2015 through November 6, 2015, are affected by the recall.
