German tuner Brabus has released its PowerXtra B30-410 upgrade to squeeze more power out of the twin-turbo V-6 powering the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG 4Matic.
The Brabus PowerXtra B30-410 is essentially an engine control unit that bumps power by 43 hp and 37 lb-ft of torque compared to stock. That brings the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6’s output to 405 hp and 421 lb-ft. The tuner says the upgraded sedan will go from 0 to 62 mph in an estimated 4.6 seconds, which is a few ticks quicker than Benz’s 0-60 mph estimate of 4.8 seconds for the stock C450 AMG.
Also available is a sport exhaust system with quad tailpipes and electronically controlled butterfly valves to adjust the exhaust note. Exterior upgrades are fairly subtle and include five-spoke 19-inch wheels, a rear diffuser, and a trunk deck lip spoiler with exposed carbon fiber pattern. Up front, a lower spoiler looks slightly more aggressive than stock, while Brabus’ B logo replaces Benz’s three-pointed star on the grille. For the interior, customers can opt for aluminum pedals, custom leather and Alcantara trim, and wood or carbon accents.
The upgrades further close the power gap between the C450 AMG and the Mercedes-AMG C63, which makes 469 hp and 479 lb-ft from a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8. As previously reported, the C450 AMG will be rebadged as the Mercedes-AMG C43 thanks to a revised naming strategy that debuted with the refreshed Mercedes-AMG SLC43.
