Most folks break record times driving around the Nürburgring Nordschleife in hypercars, usually posting times under seven minutes.
Chinese stunt driver Han Yue went with a different approach. His record lap around the Green Hell was completed in a red Mini Cooper and took a considerable 45 minutes and 59 seconds, but that’s because he drove the entire lap around the complicated track on just two wheels.
Yue, 46, calmly piloted his Mini for nearly 13 miles, through 73 corners and numerous elevation changes.
Fortunately for him no other drivers were allowed on the track during his historic run, which had been planned for months.
“The Green Hell has lived up to its name,“ Han told Ring News. “It felt like I was dealing with all four seasons on the Nordschleife today. The wet track and the sunlight made for an even greater challenge.”
A small crowd cheered him on the finish line where he deftly dropped the Mini back on all of its four wheels.
Yue is a race driver of the Red Bull China team and is also a drift champ. He briefly broke a tightest parallel park record in 2014 by sliding the tiny two-door car between to other parked Minis with 3.15 inches to spare. Crazy fun.
