Tesla Motors and its CEO Elon Musk have been quite active on Twitter the past few days. For starters, the Model S has gained a new glass roof option, and Musk announced an upcoming Easter Egg for the P100D Ludicrous will unleash more performance.
The new fixed, full-length glass roof option for the Model S is now available on the sedan’s online configurator where it’s listed at $1,500. According to Musk’s tweet, the automaker spent a long time developing the glass to ensure it provided excellent safety during a rollover. Tesla made no mention if the glass is related to its solar home roof tiles, though Musk hinted the automaker could add solar charging capability to its vehicles in the future. The fixed-glass roof option now joins the panoramic sunroof, which lists at $2,000.

Musk also tweeted an upcoming Easter Egg that “uncorks the full performance” for P100D Ludicrous models. Whether Musk is referring to acceleration or range performance is unknown, but the P100D Ludicrous already excels in both areas. The Model S and Model X P100D run from 0-60 mph in about 2.5 and 2.9 seconds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Model S provides 315 miles of range per charge and the Model X can go 289 miles.
