1 best of : 2017 Jaguar F-Type S British Design Edition Launches for U.K.

Jaguar has just revealed a new special-edition version of its two-seat coupe and convertible: the 2017 Jaguar F-Type S British Design Edition. On sale in the U.K. this spring, the special-edition cat won’t be available in the U.S.

Like the standard F-Type S, power for the British Design Edition will come from a supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 mated to an eight-speed Quickshift automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive.

Available exterior colors are inspired by the British Union Jack flag and include Caldera Red, Glacier White, and a new Ultra Blue color. The car is also available in Ultimate Black. Additional exterior bits include the Sport Design pack (gloss black front splitter, body-colored side sill extensions, and rear venturi) as standard and 20-inch Cyclone wheels finished in Satin Gray. The upgraded Jaguar Super Performance Brake system features standard red calipers, while black calipers are optional. A fixed rear spoiler is available for the coupe.

Inside, the special model features a Jet black leather interior with contrast stitching available in a choice of three colors: Red, Ivory, and Reims Blue. Carbon fiber trim replaces the aluminum trim on the center console.

Jaguar’s InControl Touch infotainment system and 380-watt, 10-speaker Meridian audio system is standard, while the InControl Touch Plus infotainment system with 770-watt, 12-speaker Meridian surround sound system is available. Both systems feature the new InControl Remote App that works with the Apple Watch to control various vehicle functions.

British Design Edition badges with monochrome Union Jack detailing replace the red and green S roundel on the grille and hatchback. Other British Design Edition badging can be found on the center console, embossed headrests, and stainless steel door sills. The badges are also available for the wheel center caps.
