1 best of : Jeep Celebrates 75th Birthday With Special-Edition Models

In honor of its 75th anniversary, Jeep will bring a number of special-edition vehicles to market early this year. Each commemorative Jeep offers unique badging, low-gloss bronze wheels, and other exclusive goodies.

On the Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary Edition, look for 17-inch wheels, gloss bronze exterior accents, and a power dome hood with functional air vents. The model also brings off-road rock rails and a Jeep Command-Trac 4×4 transfer case with 2.72:1 ratio. Inside, you’ll find a 6.5-inch touchscreen, leather-trimmed heated seats with sport mesh inserts, and special badging. Prices for this model start at $35,570 for two-door models and $39,370 for Unlimited models.

Plenty of changes are also in store for the Grand Cherokee, which receives an all-new front fascia and grille on its special-edition version. The model, priced at $37,770 with four-wheel drive, also gets a choice of unique 18- and 20-inch wheels with gloss bronze accents, as well as blacked-out body accents, a power sunroof, blind spot monitoring, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect NAV-ready radio.

The 75th anniversary Cherokee features many cosmetic upgrades, including Tangerine accent stitching on the seats, bronze exterior accents, and a dual-pane sunroof. Expect this model to go for $30,870 when paired with four-wheel drive. Inside the special-edition Renegade, buyers will find a Beats audio system, open-air roof system, and new grille surrounds. All-wheel-drive models begin at $26,370.

Special-edition Patriot and Compass models feature almost identical upgrades. These include bronze accents on the roof rails and front fascia, a power sunroof, remote start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a standard 2.4-liter engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Expect to pay $25,470 and $23,470 for these two models respectively (paired with all-wheel drive).

Buyers can choose between a variety of colors on the Jeep special-edition models, including special shades of green. The Wrangler receives a Sarge Green paint option; the Renegade comes in Jungle Green; and the other models are available in a hue known as Recon Green.
